Shares Vest for Canadian Staff

The Admiral Share scheme is still pretty new to all of us in the Canadian office as we approach our third anniversary and this spring Admiral’s first 3 Canadian employees had their shares vest which meant they has the opportunity to cash them in. It’s a first for the staff in the Halifax office and pretty exciting. We asked Renewals Team Managers, Matt Thompson and Patricia Moore, as well as our VP, Alex MacDonald, what their plans were for the Admiral shares and all three said they plan to cash in.
Admiral Hosts Its First Awards Dinner
We held our first Company Awards dinner this month and the night was such a hit with our staff I think we’d have a mutiny on our hands if we didn’t do it all over again next year (I have already been asked to start planning). It was an Oscar worthy event, (so said our staff) held in the Atlantic Ballroom at the Holiday Inn Harbourview. And if I do say so myself (and I do) we never looked finer! There were tuxedos, beautiful ball gowns and some pretty saucy cocktail dresses (Eryn your dress rocked!).
January’s Charity Champion
Lori our receptionist was January’s Charity Champion in the Halifax office for a charity near and dear to her heart; the IWK Children’s Hospital. Lori was our resident Change Bandit and with guns a blazing raised $165.00 which will be fund matched by the Admiral Community Chest making her donation $330.00 in total. The monies donated will be used to purchase much needed medical equipment to treat children under the age of 16. This is Lori’s second year as a change bandit for the IWK, which she says is her favorite charity. Lori had a lot of fun raising the money and said” There is something really rewarding about raising money in support of children and families. I really appreciate the support of everyone at Admiral and wanted to say thanks!
Halifax Progress Club’s Sport Celebrity Dinner
Ten lucky Admiral Staff enjoyed a glitzy night out with some very inspiring heroes as Admiral Halifax purchased a table at the Halifax Progress Club’s Sport Celebrity Dinner. The event is a fundraiser in support of two local charities The Progress Centre for Early Intervention and Kings Meadow Home.
Clint in our Renewals Department who attended the event for the first time said
"I thought it was a great night and an awesome way to give back to the community!"
Admiral Game Night with the Halifax Mooseheads
The nine year old defenseman in my family tells me the company I work for is AWESOME and I would have to agree with him. This past month we held an Admiral Game night and handed out over 150 free tickets to our staff as a thank you for all their hard work and dedication. We also donated 50 tickets to local foster families who thanked us for the opportunity to take in a hockey game with their children. Over 100 of our own staff brought families and friends along to the Metro Centre for a fun night out and as the saying goes a good time was had by all. Our seats were great, the beer was cold and everyone was in good cheer. While the game was close, the Mooseheads lost by a score of 2 to 0 to the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles. Despite the loss our staff agreed they scored big with a fun night out with the Admiral Team!
